nice set of songs, messed around over a few days instead of doing everything start to finish and breaking it into small sections to focus on was nice - fun to try and stretch sequencing-wise to find a way to connect unrelated things. it always ends up sounding really different from in ableton vs in the car vs phone, kind of annoying to have to rework stuff so often but also fun to have to go to so many steps just to hear it once. makes it a lot more intentional and long-form. stole a lot of the indivual songs from friends so it's nice to have built in sentimental value or specific days associated with each one. some clunky transitions i couldnt really fix without offsetting everything else, if there's a way to insert and just have everything behind it shift over the same amount.., does this exist. ended up being way too annoying since so many other things were aligned up across tracks
also while uploading this on here i saw i have another mix on the same day a year ago, cool to think it's been consistent for that long - want to relisten to the early one and see what it's like, not comparing progress just in a time capsule sort of way since a lot of the songs i make these with are associated with the time i was making them. is a nice outlet glad these exist, feels good to add another to the collection.
