each song is built around voice memos & audio from the day i took the picture; this day (5.7.2025) was really normal precursor to the summer, one of my best friends had just moved back to the city and they lived 5ish minutes from where i had just started working, so i found myself at theirs all the time. Started getting really close to her sister as well who moved w her & just becoming conjoined at the hip again after not seeing each other for months. There were a ton of voice memos from that time I could have included from reading folktales to each other to her dad making her cry-laugh on the phone, or singing in the car etc etc. this one was the same day as the picture though and its essentially a shitpost singing the warthog song from the lion king 2 1/2 until the meaning went away and it was just about saying warthog. The music itself also contains a voice memo that my friend took of me playing their clarinet the day before i'd made the song. I put a ton of effects on it and was really into how weird it got with the reverses and distortion. If i was making it over again i would have kept it shorter and probably included more laughing or something so it would be less evil sounding lol. i also love the picture itself, her tracing a tattoo flash and the light was the perfect amount of overexposed it looks really sick stipling off her hands.
