each song is built around voice memos & audio from the day i took the picture; this day (6.28.2025) means the most to me out of the bunch i think, maybe recency bias but this was such a transformative summer for good and bad reasons - and this day felt so smack dab in the middle of it all. Now that i'm on the other side i can look back and am glad at how in the moment i was able to enjoy it but even still i recognize the void left over. It marked the start of a bunch of new people entering my life, had been working a new job for 2 months and started making some really cool friends and artists, a budding romance, had a friend visiting over the summer from Spain, and had my best friend moving to NY at the end of it. So many people phasing in and out but this was the moment where the end wasnt in sight at all and just fully having fun nonstop. this whole weekend was beautiful, the first artshow that *this* is at the second-of, which turned into an afters at a friends lot of wine and everyone dancing, into the next day introducing more of my friends to each other & sharing custom cocktails at our favorite bar, sneaking drinks out of work and then ending up at this lake and singing to geese into the wee hours of the night. So much has changed since then and it was so recent!!! crazy, excited to cross paths with everyone again, i'm still connected to them all but also knowing that everyone wont ever be in the same space like that the same way makes it doubly sweet that it happened in the first place, i've only gotten closer with everyone so it retroactively is an even more special time. And then song wise its just party noises and friends talking on the balcony mixed with videos from the lake where geese were honking, the song is meant to be like swimming in the lake kinda.. like underwater and then surfacing and going back under. yknow..
